This event is one of the symposium highlights and enables attendees to catch-up, reminisce, and make new friends in an informal atmosphere as well as enjoy the beauty of Kyoto.

An invited speaker can join free of charge with one accompanying person . Please register.

*The tour includes half-day bus, lunch, entrance fee to the temples and a tour guide.

Kinkakuji (Golden Pavilion in Kyoto):One of the most iconic sights and popular attractions in Japan
whose top two floors are completely covered in gold leaf, beautifully reflected in the mirror pond.

Arashiyama: Beautiful sightseeing district in Kyoto. There are many attractions such as the Bamboo
grove and the Togetsukyo Bridge.

Tenryu-ji temple: considered the most important Zen temple in Kyoto's Arashiyama area, with one of the finest Zen gardens
in Kyoto and wonderful mountain views.

Excursion plan

1:15pm Pick up from the workshop venue, Rekisaikan in bus with a driver and a guide.
1:30pm - 2:20pm Kyoto-cuisine Lunch
2:20pm - 3:00pm Visit Kinkakuji (Golden Pavilion in Kyoto) and discover its history.
3:00pm - 3:30pm Bus travel time
3:30pm - 5:10pm Visit Arashiyama, explore its beautiful district, Tenryu-ji temple,
Bamboo grove and Togetsukyo Bridge.
5:10pm - 6:00pm Bus travel time, back to Karasuma Kyoto hotel.
